HiMood is an app to support mental health through self-awareness. It helps people track how they feel, notice patterns, and reflect over time without needing to write long journal entries or rely on just memory.
Product Goals
Make mood tracking feel natural, not clinical
Surface patterns over time with meaningful visuals
Offer personalized emotional guidance without overwhelming the user

Since this was an early-stage concept, we defined success as:
7-day retention above 30%
At least 3 mood entries per week
Completion of at least 1 guided learning module per user in the first month
(We didn’t launch publicly, but we validated early prototypes with 12 testers.)

Conclusions and learnings
Designing for emotion is not about adding color or cute icons.
It’s about making people feel seen without asking them to explain everything.HiMood is one of my favorite projects because it sits at the intersection of product strategy, UX clarity, and emotional depth; all things I care about.
